Pot Pie Girl is the author of One Week Marketing.  She is an affiliate marketer who has been actively using Squidoo to promote Clickbank products.  She published her course to describe how she achieved success and to help you do the same.

Pot Pie Girl made close to $150,000 in 2008.  She has achieved this by a combination of affiliate marketing and promoting her One Week Marketing course.  She has spent so much time and energy on Squidoo that developed a large following there and that allows her to easily promote her own product.

Will the solution proposed by Pot Pie Girl work for you?  It has some good points and information.  But it also has a few drawbacks.

The best thing about Pot Pie Girl is she gives you a marketing plan. It is one week of tasks broken up by days of the week. The basics include researching a niche market and related keywords. You then build a Squidoo page tailored to your selected keywords. Ideally you want to build 3 to 5 pages at a time. Finally, you market those Squidoo pages through the techniques Pot Pie Girl describes.

The plan is the thing. Many new affiliate marketers get lost in the vast amount of marketing information and scams out there. You may find yourself jumping from one idea to the next without ever fully applying anything. Pot Pie Girl gives you a blueprint, a checklist of items. For each product you want to market, you simply go through the checklist. You may find this type of structure and commitment to seeing it through are a help.

Next is her emails with Nick. Pot Pie Girl compiled emails from one of her students and her replies, and presents them in a chronological order. This lets you watch Pot Pie Girl mentor Nick from start to finish. At the end of one week, Nick had some remarkable achievements. This entire compilation is the next best thing to having a mentor yourself.

Lastly, for new affiliate marketers, the Pot Pie Girl language is plain and simple. There is no complicated jargon or need to learn the technical aspects of the internet. Instead, the course is geared to the new person, and is designed to get them started with affiliate marketing and no cost.

Pot Pie Girl intended audience are new affiliate marketers. To those of you who have been doing internet marketing the course may not be that helpful. The pacing may seem slow since it is meant for newbies. Plus, the information itself is not groundbreaking. There isn't anything you don't already know. It is common knowledge.

However, I should say the Pot Pie Girl checklist is still valuable. It takes all the things you already know, and puts them on a blueprint. You perform a task, check it off the list and move on. When you complete all the tasks for your selected product, start with a new product and do it again,

You may find the sections on Niche marketing research vague. Pot Pie Girl doesn't make a distinction between starting by finding a product or finding a market. In fact, her course tends to lead you toward finding a market first. Personally, I think having a viable product is an important step.

Pot Pie Girl also tells you not to be too concerned with keyword traffic or if it is viable, but to get your Squidoo page out there and see what happens. She promotes the idea of throwing a bunch of stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. Again, I think you'll have more success and less wasted effort by doing the market and keyword research. Pot Pie Girl needs to improve this part of her course.

In the end, Pot Pie Girl is worthwhile if you are new to the affiliate game. It will get you started on the right foot. If you have experience, it may not be valuable unless you are need of blueprint and plan.
